After use the iPhone 12 minidaily for the past two months, I think it only might be my favorite iPhoneever saw. In a life of big telephones, it’s really freshening to see a smaller flagshipiPhone. We have realized small iPhones in the past with the iPhone SE and then the iPhone SE 2, but I wouldn’t really consider those flagship telephones. They had some major jeopardizes thatset them apart from the central iPhone lineup, but the 12 Mini doesn’t have those. It’s literallyan iPhone 12, merely smaller and 100 dollars cheaper, and a good deal of parties, including me, are finding out that’s exactly what they required The 12 mini has the new sharp shapes of the1 2, a bit of a throwback to the iPhone 4 and 5 if you remember those telephones, and it feelsvery futuristic in the mitt, simply a minimal slab of metal and glass. That smaller assemble factormakes it super easy to slither in pockets, but most importantly, I have relatively small paws and Ican still touch all four regions of the presentation, something I can’t really do comfortably on thenormal sized iPhone 12. And I’m telling you guys, even though it is a smaller phone, it doesn’tfeel that small-minded when you’re using it because the display is periphery to hem, it’s 5.4 inches, and to employ that in perspective, the iphone 6 plus 7 plus and 8 plus from just afew years ago, those everyone has 5.5 inch showings, and those phones footprints were style larger. I’venever once felt that this phone was too small, it exactly fits so well in the paw and it’s reallyjust a joy to use. If you have big pass or if you’ve been using a huge phone like the iphone1 1 pro max or a samsung galaxy memo design, this phone might not be for you, butfor anybody else, I’d feed you to at least try it out in store and hear foryourself how it feels, it might surprise you. The orators on the earpiece andthe bottom of the phone sound good , not great, but a noticeable improvementover the iphone se that i was coming from.All the new iPhone 12 s have what’s called “ceramicshield”, a new special glass that coats both the front and the back of the phone that Apple saysprovides the phone with four times more drop protection than any previous iPhone glass. Butabout a week into owning the phone I inadvertently positioned that ceramic shield to the test. Okay, so Iwent on this hike earlier in the day, as I was feeing, I junketed and I descended and I exactly absolutely smashedthe screen of this phone into a boulder. I did have a tempered glass screen protector on that wasshattered from the fail. So we’re gonna peel that screen protection off and see if the phone itselfis actually injured. It’s coming off, it’s very crushed towards the bottom, it is absolutelyperfect , no cracks whatsoever on the glass. As far as other striking design changes, the1 2 mini is fully consistent with all brand-new MagSafe supplements, which is the new magnetic accessorylineup from apple that works with magnets in the back of the phone.I haven’t had the chanceto experiment any of these supplements hitherto, but from what I’ve heard from friends, MagSafe is kindameh at the moment. Like the MagSafe charger is pretty cool, but you might as well exactly adjusted yourphone on a wireless charger, it’s not like that’s super difficult, and the purse has been knownto pop off the phone relatively easily, so that’s pretty concerning. But who are familiar with, maybe some newMagSafe accessories will come out that will be more useful than the ones currently available.The showing is extremely sharp, actually, it’s the sharpest iPhone display ever with 476 pixels per inch, and it’s an OLED XDR display, which is a huge upgrade over something like theiPhone 11 and the iPhone SE’s LCD exposes. You get considerably better dynamic range with deeper blacksand a much brighter max brightness when viewing HDR content, and that’s really nice becauseHDR content is becoming more and more common especially here on YouTube, so it’s greatthat I can watch that straight from my phone. Speaking of HDR, a huge brand-new facet of the iPhone1 2 lineup is the ability to record Dolby vision HDR footage at up to 4k 30 frames / second, andthe pro sits are truly record up to 4k 60. Video filmed on this phone examines amazing, stabilization is great, and with HDR recording, the highlights truly pop out.Unfortunately, you won’t be able to notice significant differences now over this YouTube video because this video is notHDR, but trust me, it looks great on the phone. Photos are fanciful as well, very typicaliphone style photos with good dye saturation and perhaps a little over inflated dynamicrange. You have your regular 12 megapixel lens and then another 12 megapixel ultra wide lens. I lovethe ultra wide angle perspective, I use this all the time and I would make this any day of the weekover a telephoto lens.It also play-act really well in low-spirited glowing status because of apple’snight procedure. This portrait was taken at around 11:30 PM and there were no beacons on within 100 yardsor so, hitherto the picture still seems relatively well disclosed, even though it is does lose a bit of detailthat you’ll notice if you start to zoom in. By far the weakest region of the iphone 12 mini is the battery life, and with a phone this small you just can’t fit the same sizebattery that you could put on a larger phone, and that’s noticeable from the screen on time youget with this. Most dates i end up with maybe five to ten percent battery life after about fourto four and a half hours of screen on time, so that isn’t frightful but it’s not great.For most people that should be usable but if you’re a ponderous customer you will probablykill this thing before the end of the day so that’s definitely something to considerif you’re looking into the 12 mini. And lastly, I’ll briefly touch on the fast ofthis phone.I mean, it’s fast, it has the newest A14 bionic chip, it is therefore will pretty much handlewhatever you hurl at it, and if you get this phone, you should be set for the next three tofour years easily. It also has 5G capabilities, which was a big headlining feature of the iPhone1 2s, but at least on T-mobile, it’s kind of spotty at the moment. In some locations, I’ll get speedson par with 5G approximations, but at my suite, where I naturally am for a majority of the members of my periods, my fasts are just about the same as conventional 4G rapidities. So undoubtedly your results will varydepending on what carrier you have and they should continue to improve as 5G continues to become morewidespread. So the 12 mini is impressive, to say the least. I adore this phone, and I think thisis a big step in constructing people realize that small phones still have a place in the flagship market.I’m really interested to see what other firms are going to come out with their own tiny phones, not just as budget alternatives like we’ve seen them in the past, but as a full small-time flagship device.Make sure to sub to the channel if you crave more content like this, like the video if you likedit, and I’ll catch you guys in the next one.
